RED FRUIT NOTES
Why we like it: The cooler climate of Colombia's high-altitude Aguadas mountains means coffee takes longer to ferment. The classic method of processing washed coffee is complex and time-consuming, but here it requires even more skill.

Origin
If the classic method of washing coffee is long and complex, this one requires an even more advanced technique. The coffee growers of the small town of Aguadas show great meticulousness in harvesting only the perfectly ripe fruits. They then ferment them, under close supervision and for a long time, so that only the most subtle aromas are released from the coffee. Master Origin Colombia's Washed Arabica is the fruit of painstaking work, the result of which is a coffee developed and fermented to perfection. Remarkably balanced!
Roasting
In this Vertuo capsule, Colombia Aguadas coffee is lightly roasted. Most Fairtrade labeled coffee is roasted quickly and lightly. Only a small amount of the beans in this Colombian coffee are roasted longer and deeper, which helps add some complexity.
Aromatic Profile
Master Origin Colombia Washed Arabica offers the unmistakable flavor of a washed, juicy and fruity Colombian coffee. You may notice subtle flavors of candied apples and red berries, enhanced with aromatic wine notes in this Vertuo coffee.
