You'll do a double take with Master Origins Mexico with double-washed Robusta - because selective hand-picking and deep-washing were once reserved for Arabica.

Origin
While Mexico has been cultivating Arabica for several centuries, Robusta only appeared there in 1949. Refusing to relegate it to a second-tier coffee intended for the entry-level market, producers are working to take advantage of best of this Robusta. The flesh of the fruit being firmly attached to the coffee bean, they found that a single wash was insufficient to soften the whole. They then developed this exceptional process of double washing of Robusta. This rare coffee is also made from Mexican Arabica.
Roasting
Arabica beans go through a medium roast process, while Robusta beans go through a long, deep roast after being washed twice. This Vertuo Arabica and Robusta marriage is medium roasted.
Aromatic Profile
The Robusta from Master Origin Mexico undergoes a double wash. Surprising, don't you think? The full intensity of the Robusta is refined after the two washes, releasing a scent that is both spicy and toasty, and offering a rich and unctuous texture.
